shapes of time

so soon it's coming on
at night a cold moon sees the break of dawn
another day can creep up slow
and catch us, take us down to go
under and over the ocean spread wide
wake up on the planet's other side
and remember the time zones can be different hours
the clock rings no bell when it's so overpowered
time is no master of any event,
there is no father that time ever sent
the good die young and the young die good
but if time isn't real nobody dies when they should
the lustre of shining ocean tides breaks
like glass in a cold temperature shakes
and waves of crystal will shatter and spray
like a tide made of ice and a night that turned day
and look up and around because no matter how quick
the essence of something unreal has it's grip.
one thing you can't escape,
and it cannot be explained
than more of a measurement
of minutes a day.
