kaleidoscope

there is something so beautiful about colored intricacy.
something so romantic, you can't discribe minimallly.
elaborate as the design reflected from the glass,
colors and patterns answer more than you could ask.
like one million little fingerprints, each has character unique.
each tiny shard and beam of light reflects a human being.
society and glass light patterns, the differences erased.
i can see a thousand faces in this colored pattern's place.
an optical illusion, a sight that makes you sigh.
one of the most incredible designs to human eyes.

these are a few of my favorite things:
intricate patterns and delicate design,
beautiful lights captivating my eyes.
i like colors combined in thousands of ways,
i like simple complexity, a colorful maze.
i like seeing things for more than they are.
ie: a small tube that shows you large stars.
i like that things are not quite what they seem.
for all of these beautiful things are just beads -
and glass, and reflections, and the turn of a wrist,
the most beautiful things to be seen are a gift
that we can create, from craft supplies and time.
and all of this came to my brain in a rhyme.
