thoughts circa july 7th

your defence mechanism vs. my identification of truth, weak in comparison to your excuse. i know you define friendship in a way uneasy to comprehend, and that true friends to you lather you in attention. undetected are the friends you ignore. truly based on their involvement in voice, also, you ignore. a game given up on, you seem to have lost, claiming victory. although eager forfeits count as automatic failure.

i wish i could say that i'm proud of you. but your steps towards this milestone have been guided. you're blindsided, and i wish you could do this on your own. i'm afraid for you, you'll lose again, and by that i mean you'll lose your way. and i'll wait again another year today to speak to you again. you'd lose your way, you'd lose a friend. this high school routine must one day end, leaving you alone to pretend, while i defend my rightful ground - you may be alone, but i'll say sounds you never thought you'd hear. cover your eyes and cover your ears. one day soon you'll just hate me again, until reason finds a way to let me in your life. you find me in phases, these cases are right.

what's wrong? the process. i don't often take part in badly anchored friendships. nailed down without hold, in minds decided to leave me out cold. cold shoulders, ignore her, as you've done before. biting hands that feed you. face patience that would rather tame you than train you, again and again. train you to grow up and make and keep friends.

just disappear from their lives again, hurt the people with love for you, as if it's a trend. call friends by the wrong names, call them enemies, please. be higher and above what you consider disease. just be better, be good, be the gold you proclaim. the only thing to sway your head are the friends that you claim - to be parasites, that can't climb to highs that reach above your head. your honest heart claims their abandonment, their flowers rip from your stems. but in all honesty, it's you that's left them.
